John Kadlecik’s West Philly Fadeaway Feat. Disco Biscuits & Lotus Members Announces Brooklyn Bowl Performance

186

Last fall, Dark Star Orchestra/Furthur guitarist John Kadlecik brought together bassist Marc Brownstein and keyboardist Aron Magner of the Disco Biscuits along with Lotus drummer Mike Greenfield to honor the music of the Grateful Dead with a new live project, West Philly Fadeaway. On Wednesday, the Dead-themed all-star outfit announced their live debut at New York City’s Brooklyn Bowl later this summer on August 2nd, one day after the late Jerry Garcia‘s birthday.

The announcement didn’t include info on a special theme for the show, though fans should expect the four notable jam musicians to bring new life to music originally played by the Dead. West Philly Fadeaway’s October 2018 debut included a surprise sit-in from special guest, guitarist Danny Mayer of the Eric Krasno Band/Star Kitchen, so fans should be on the lookout for another notable sit-in for their debut “The Bowl” come August.

The band was in Stephentown, NY this past weekend where they performed at the ninth annual Disc Jam Festival on Saturday. Kadlecik also recently wrapped a run of spring tour dates with his Golden Gate Wingmen bandmates.

Tickets to the August 2nd Brooklyn Bowl performance go on sale this Friday, June 14th. Click here for more info.
