Professional M.L.S. franchise the Indy Eleven recently announced their Grateful Dead night, scheduled to take place at the team’s next home game against the Atlanta United 2 on Saturday, June 22nd at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. The upcoming event dubbed “A Grateful Evening” marks the first-ever celebration of the Grateful Dead hosted by a soccer team worldwide.
In addition to a ticket to the game, fans who purchase the Indy Eleven’s special ticket offer will receive either a Grateful Dead/Indy Eleven-themed split scarf, a premium concert-style game poster, or both.
Prior to the game, fans are invited to the Indy Eleven “Shakedown” Tailgate presented by the Mousetrap Bar & Grille. The fun begins at 5 p.m. at the Jobsite Supply Lot, which is located on Missouri Street across from the stadium’s southwest gate, with Indianapolis-based band Starcat honoring the music of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band.
Fans in attendance at Dead & Company‘s show next Wednesday, June 12th at Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville will have the opportunity to take the first look at the limited-edition items available in the special “Grateful Evening” ticket package.
The Indy Eleven join M.L.B. teams the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Brooklyn Cyclones, as well as the Detroit Red Wings and Florida Panthers, in celebrating the Grateful Dead and their music this year at sporting events.
