Turkuaz Releases Pro-Shot Video Of “Gremlins” From Their ‘Live At Higher Ground’ Series [Watch]

Brooklyn-based nine-piece funk outfit Turkuaz has shared pro-shot video of “Gremlins”, the second of their four-part “Live At Higher Ground” series.

In April, Turkuaz offered up a performance at Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground as part of their 2019 spring tour. The band—comprised of Dave Brandwein (guitar/vocals), Taylor Shell (bass), Craig Brodhead (guitar/synths), Michelangelo Carubba (drums), Greg Sanderson (saxophone), Joshua Schwartz (saxophone/vocals), Chris Brouwers (trumpet/keyboard), Sammi Garett (vocals/percussion), and Shira Elias (vocals)—worked through “Gremlins”, an older cut off of their 2011 Zerbert LP.

Turkuaz frontman Dave Brandwein shared his thoughts on “Gremlins”. He explained,

This is a Turkuaz oldie from back when we planned to name every track after an 80s movie…the plan faded away, but the song remains.

Next up for Turkuaz is a performance at The Railyard in Sante Fe, NM this Friday, June 21st, followed by a set at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 21st in support of Umphrey’s McGee.
