The soulful rock band fronted by steel-pedal wiz Robert Randolph will begin their 20-date fall run with their scheduled appearance at the Paola Roots Festival in Paola, KS on August 24th, followed by shows along the eastern and midwestern U.S. before wrapping on October 27th. Stops along the band’s fall tour schedule include performances at VINYL in Atlanta, GA (8/29); the Payomet Performing Arts Center in North Truro, MA (9/7); Higher Ground Ballroom in North Burlington, VT (9/8) The Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis, IN (9/11); their appearance at Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, TX (9/20-21); the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, FL (10/19); the Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA (10/23); River City Roll in Richmond, VA (10/26); and Mountain Stage in Charleston, WV (10/27); to name a few.
Randolph teamed up with Nashville-based producer Dave Cobb to help on the forthcoming studio album, which arrived back on May 31st via Provogue Records.
“All of these songs kind of harken back to how we started, to being known as this musical family band that comes from the church and appeals to rock, blues, gospel and soul music audiences,” Randolph said with the album’s announcement back in the spring. “We wanted that good gospel, blues, R&B feel, because that’s where we started and it’s good to not only remind people of that but to actively remember it ourselves.”
