On Tuesday, Colorado’s own seven-piece funk outfit The Motet added three dates to their extensive 2019 coast-to-coast fall tour. The Motet’s Speed Of Light Tour will span from August 10th through the end of the year.
The newly added dates will begin with a performance at Albany, NY’s Skyloft on November 7th, which will feature support from Star Kitchen. The Motet and Star Kitchen along with the Jennifer Hartswick & Nick Cassarino Duo will then head north to Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on November 8th. Sans any openers, The Motet will offer up a performance at Holyoke, MA’s Gateway City Arts on November 1oth.
The Motet—currently comprised of Dave Watts (drums), Joey Porter (keys), Garret Sayers (bass), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), Lyle Divinsky (vocals), Drew Sayers (sax), and Parris Flemming (trumpet)—continues to tour in support of their latest LP, Death or Devotion, marking an important high point for the band as their first album to feature the full, current lineup throughout the writing and recording process.
Next up for The Motet is a performance at Thornville, OH’s The Werk Out Music and Arts Festival this Friday, August 2nd.
