Professional M.L.B. franchise the Washington Nationals recently announced their first-ever Grateful Dead night, scheduled to take place at the team’s home game against the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, August 13th at Washington, D.C.’s Nationals Park.
In addition to a ticket to the game, fans who purchase the Washington Nationals’ special ticket offer will receive a limited-edition co-branded Grateful Dead/Nationals hat. Prior to the game, fans are invited to a pre-game concert on the Budweiser Terrace featuring a Grateful Dead tribute band.
The Washington Nationals join fellow M.L.B. teams the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Brooklyn Cyclones, M.L.S. teams the Colorado Rapids and Indy Eleven, as well as the Detroit Red Wings and Florida Panthers, in celebrating the Grateful Dead and their music this year at sporting events.
