Rossinavi and Pininfarina Unveil Sports Car-Inspired Superyacht

2

Rossinavi, a luxury Italian shipyard known for daring superyacht collabs like the Project Attitude and Tron: Legacy-inspired I-Tron, just unveiled one of the largest and beautiful boat concepts we’ve seen this year at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2019.

Designed inside and out in collaboration with Pininfarina, the 215-foot Super Sports 65 harks to the Italian coachbuilder’s all-carbon fiber Fittipaldi Vision Gran Turismo, especially in the upper-deck’s supercar-like proportions.

The new superyacht is made almost entirely of aluminum and houses six cabins cabins capable of accommodating 12 passengers, plus seven more cabins for the captain and crew, according to Yacht Harbour. Power comes courtesy of four 12-cylinder engines made by Rolls-Royce’s MTU Friedrichshafen, each of which produces just 1,500 horsepower. The Super Sports 65 cruises at 32 mph and maxes out just over 35 mph.

Multiple outdoor entertainment and lounge areas sprawl across various decks, including a pair of matching Jacuzzi tubs positioned near the stern and bow. Below deck is a starcase inspired by the air intakes of road vehicles, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows, a hot tub and a bepoke sofa. No images of the interior were provided, but think wide open-spaces and more performance car-derived themes.

“”The only limit in the design of sports boat is the impact on the general floorplan. For this reason, creating a nice balance between interior architecture and exterior design is always challenging. With Super Sport 65, we have overcome this limit. We enter a new design dimension with the lower deck’s layout to the large areas dedicated to the crew and to the captain’s cockpit and engine room,” said Rossinavi COO Rederico Rossi.

“The elegant and spacious design of the common areas including the main saloon and a larger owner’s cabin at bow all the way to the salon of the upper deck are the result of this new design direction which culminates in the flying bridge with Pininfarina’s signature super car design.”
