Billy Strings Shares 1st Set From Brooklyn Bowl Concert: Pro-Shot Video

101

Billy Strings rolled through the Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on November 15, 2019 as part of his extensive 2019 fall tour. Billy shared video of the first set via Relix’s live stream, who shared the second set back in November.

Strings kicked things off with the classic “Dust In A Baggie” from his 2016 self-titled debut before getting into a cover of late country star Jerry Reed’s “The Likes Of Me.” Then the band offered up a rendition of banjo legend Bill Emerson’s “Home Of The Red Fox” before heading into a cover of Greesnsky Bluegrass’ “Letter To Seymour.”

The covers continued with The Dillards’ “There Is A Time” before Billy returned to original material in “Hollow Heart” and “Must Be Seven” from his 2019 album Home. The Stanley Brothers’ “How Mountain Girls Can Love” came next ahead of more Home material in “Love Like Me” ad “Highway Hypnosis.” A Doc Watson section followed with “The Train That Carried My Girl From Town” leading into “Black Mountain Rag.” Billy Strings closed out the set with a cover of Pearl Jam’s “In Hiding.”
