Brooklyn Comes Alive 2020 will be held on March 21 at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, New York. The lineup for the day-long music festival has been confirmed.
The lineup for Brooklyn Comes Alive 2020 includes Oteil & Friends, Turkuaz, Birds of a Feather featuring members of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Goose, The Motet, Dr. Klaw, Robert Randolph & Friends, Anomalie/Deitch/MonoNeon, Here Come The Mummies, SPAGA Plays The Dead and Karina Rykman.
Oteil & Friends will feature bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, The Allman Brothers Band) with guitarists Eric Krasno (Soulive), Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) and Tom Guarna (Blood, Sweat & Tears), keyboardist Jason Crosby (Phil Lesh & Friends), drummer John Kimock (Mike Gordon), percussionist Weedie Braimah, vocalists Alfreda Gerald and Lamar Williams Jr. (Les Brers, The New Mastersounds) and horn players Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce) and Ryan Zoidis (Lettuce). Bloom and Zoidis will also appear with Dr. Klaw – Krasno, Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science) and Nigel Hall (Lettuce) plus Nick Daniels and Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk) — along with Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk).
Turkuaz will be accompanied by keyboardist Cory Henry and Ghost-Note percussionists Robert Sput Searight and Nate Werth. The Motet will also be joined by Werth, along with guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and vocalist Shira Elias (Turkuaz).
The Robert Randolph & Friends set will feature steel guitarist Robert Randolph joined by saxophonist Karl Denson (Rolling Stones, Tiny Universe), keyboardist/vocalist Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), trumpeter Rashawn Ross (Dave Matthews Band), drummer Robert Sput Searight (Ghost-Note) and bassist MonoNeon (Ghost-Note, Prince). SPAGA, the new project by Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), will interpret the Grateful Dead’s music and Anomalie will participate in his first Brooklyn Comes Alive supergroup with Deitch and MonoNeon. Capping Brooklyn Comes Alive 2020 will be a late night show by Jade Cicada and a Beats Antique DJ set.
