To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the model, G-Shock is getting metal with its classic Triple Graph Dial GM-6900.
The 6900, which was first released in 1995, has been upgraded with a stainless steel bezel as well as updated G-Shock features.
To create this feature, Casio went through a multi-step forging process which involved highly detailed cutting, polishing, and finishing. The end result is an elegant matte finish appropriate to a luxury watch.
But G-Shock is all about practicality, so these new Triple Graphs, which come in silver, red-black and gold colorways, also have complications to spare, including:
- 200M water resistance
- Stopwatch, countdown timer, and multi-function alarm
- An automatic calendar
- Flash alerts and a backlight and
- Excellent two years’ worth of battery life
At the moment these are available in Japan.
Elsewhere the new models will be available in February 2020 at G-Shock retailers like Macy’s and online at gshock.com. The GM6900-1 (silver) will be $180, GM6900G-9 (gold) will retail for $230 and the GM6900B-4 (red and black) will go for $220.
