MSNBC’s Katy Tur Sends Out 2019 With Phish References Galore

129

MSNBC anchor Katy Tur is perhaps one of the most famous Phish fans in journalism. She regularly makes references about the Vermont quartet on her show, MSNBC Live With Katy Tur, oftentimes with other Phish fans she has on the program. But she always delivers a slew of Phishy puns on her last show of the year that cleverly recaps the year through Phish songs.

Tur’s 2019 look back included references to “Reba,” “Dirt,” “Backwards Down The Number Line,” “Scents And Subtle Sounds,” “Simple,” “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S., “Mango Song,” “Sneakin’ Sally Through The Alley,” “Stash,” “Character Zero,” “Run Like An Antelope” and “Chalk Dst Torture.” Tur then donned a pair of trippy Phish sunglasses and signed off by saying “see you tonight,” an indication that she would attend Phish’s NYE show at Madison Square Garden.
