Pearl Jam Announces New Album ‘Gigaton’ & North American Tour 2020

114

Pearl Jam announced the release of their new studio album, Gigaton, on March 27 through Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records. The band confirmed 2020 North American tour dates in support of the album that features the single “Dance of the Clairvoyants.”

The long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Lightning Bolt and Pearl Jam’s 11th studio album, Gigaton, was produced by Josh Evans and Pearl Jam. Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist Paul Nicklen’s photo “Ice Waterfall” appears on the album’s cover. “Dance of the Clairvoyants” will be released in the coming weeks.

“Making this record was a long journey,” Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready stated. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”

Pearl Jam will tour in support of Gigaton, beginning with the 16-date first leg of their North American tour spanning March and April. Tickets will be sold first via a Ticketmaster Verified Fan presale powered. Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration begins today, January 13 and ends Wednesday, January 15 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Tickets go on sale to the general public on January 24 at 10 a.m. local venue time via Ticketmaster.
