Umphrey’s McGee will make their annual visit to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado June 19 – 21. Cory Wong opens on June 19, The Fearless Flyers and Samantha Fish kick off the action on June 20 and Goose supports UM on June 21. Umphrey’s will play three sets on the final day of the run, including a reprise of their Godboner collaboration with Ween frontman Gene Ween

The sextet made their Red Rocks debut on July 2 and 3, 2005 as part of The String Cheese Incident’s Big Summer Classic traveling festival. Umphrey’s co-headlined the venue with moe. in 2006 and opened for Gov’t Mule in 2008. On July 3, 2010 the band headlined Red Rocks and has returned each summer since. The run was expanded to two nights in 2016 and three nights in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Gene Ween first teamed with Umphrey’s at the 2015 Summer Camp Music Festival, months before he reunited with Ween. The ensemble played a number of Ween classics, including the first “Japanese Cowboy” Gener had sung since 1996 and a cover of Billy Joel‘s “The Stranger.”
