Away—the travel brand best known for its snazzy roller cases—is launching The Chalet collection.
The line represents a modern take on retro-style ski slope essentials, all designed with striking, vintage colors and featuring a backpack and Away’s first-ever sling bag.
The collection is a nod to the nostalgia of mid-century alpine style and iconic mountain towns and features Away’s sturdy line-up of polycarbonate suitcases. They come in three polished finishes detailed with bold stripes—Rally, Glade, and Peak.

The Backpack
Here are just a few of the backpack’s key features:
- Water-resistant nylon construction trimmed with leather
- Zippered pocket inside with a knit lining, ideal for phones, glasses, anything scratch-sensitive
- Gear bag for storing wet socks, hats, or gloves
- Can travel well on your back or be easily attached to any Away suitcase
- Side pocket for water bottles or umbrellas
- Can handle up to a 15″ laptop
- A leather handle and padded shoulder straps for ease of use
The Backpack comes in the Black Diamond colorway and you can get it personalized with up to three embroidered letters ($225).
THE SLING BAG
The Sling bag’s features include the following:
- Water-resistant leather with matte finish
- Front pocket key clip which you can tuck in the front pocket for easy access
- Inner clear pocket ideal for IDs
The Sling Bag comes in bright yellow Rally ($145).
THE CHALET COLLECTION
The Chalet collection might be the last set of suitcases you ever need. As with its other items, Away’s Chalet Collection can be personalized with at least three letters, painted with matching foil stamping on the coordinated leather luggage tag.
