Faces Perform Live In London 1973

157

Earlier this week, the surviving members of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame act Faces reunited for a performance of “Stay With Me” at the BRITs award ceremony in London. In honor of the reunion, this week’s Full Show Friday selection features pro-shot video of a stellar Faces performance from June 1973 at London’s Edmonton Sundown.

Vocalist Rod Stewart, guitarist Ronnie Wood, bassist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and keyboardist Ian McLagan opened with “Cindy Incidentally” from 1973’s Ooh La La. Faces then offered up a rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s “Angel” and “True Blue” from Stewart’s Never A Dull Moment LP. Covers of Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” and “Jealous Guy” by John Lennon followed along with Rod’s “You Wear It Well” and “Maggie May.” Finally, Faces performed Ooh La La’s “Borstal Boys” and Sam Cooke’s “Twistin’ The Night Away.”
