Singer-songwriter and guitarist Sadler Vaden shared an in-studio video for his single, “Modern Times.” The song will appear on Vaden’s upcoming album Anybody Out There? due out on March 6 via Dirty Mag Records / Thirty Tigers.

“Modern Times” features Vaden’s Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit bandmates bassist Jimbo Hart and keyboardist Derry DeBorja as well as guitarist Zach Setchfield of Amanda Shires‘ band and drummer Fred Eltringham who has played with such luminaires as Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow.

“This was one of the last songs written for the album, and it was born out of a demo I did in GarageBand, Vaden said in a statement. “I picked up my 12 string and started with those two chords. Reminiscing on simpler times, I was thinking by the rise of connection through the internet and the decline of true human connection, face to face. The narrator sings that in these modern times, it’s hard to know someone for real, but realizes that he or she isn’t any different.”

Vaden and company filmed the video for “Modern Times,” premiered by The Nashville Scene, live at The Bakery studio in the Music City. Watch it below:
