Brock Butler Performs For ‘Busking Down The House’ Series

121

Perpetual Groove frontman Brock Butler played a set at a home in Fort Pierce, Florida on Tuesday that was featured in a live stream. The live stream came as part of the Busking Down The House series.

Brock kicked off his set with a take on Jason Isbell’s “Relatively Easy.” Butler then covered “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty ahead of the PGroove classic “Best Of Anything.” Next, the guitarist showed off his looping skills during performances of Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U” and “Diamonds On The Soles Of His Shoes” by Paul Simon. A stellar pairing followed as Butler’s version of Perpetual Groove’s “It Starts Where It Ends” led into “Us + Them” by Pink Floyd. Brock went on to end the set with a run of Brett Dennen’s “Ain’t No Reason,” the John Prine classic “Illegal Smile,” OutKast’s “Unhappy” and the Perpetual Groove gem “Sweet Oblivious Antidote.”
