Guns N’ Roses Bust Out ‘So Fine’ In Mexico City

125

Guns N’ Roses headlined the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on Saturday night. The band worked their first performance of “So Fine” since 1993 into their set.

The group kicked off their 23-song performance with a run of “It’s So Easy,” “Mr. Brownstone” and “Chinese Democracy.” GN’R then performed the classic “Welcome To The Jungle” before reaching to the Velvet Revolver repertoire for “Slither.” A bevy of staples followed including “Estranged,” the band’s cover of Wings’ “Live & Let Die,” “You’re Crazy,” “Rocket Queen” and “You Could Be Mine.”

Bassist Duff McKagan then led the group on their first “So Easy” since June 16, 1993 as per Setlist.FM. Guns N’ Roses originally released “So Fine” on their 1991 studio album Use Your Illusion II and as a single the following year. McKagan previously performed the song with GN’R during soundchecks in 2014, yet it never was played before a live audience until Saturday night.

“So Fine” was followed by “Civil War” and “Dead Horse” before Slash performed a solo. GN’R ended their main set in Mexico City with “November Rain,” “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” and “Nightrain.” For the encore, the band went with “Don’t Cry,” “Patience” and “Paradise City.”
