James Taylor performed “Almost Like Being In Love” on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The song appears on Taylor’s new covers album, American Standard.
As the title implies, American Standard is constructed of Taylor’s arrangements of classic songs from the Great American Songbook. Written by Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner, “Almost Like Being in Love” first appeared in 1947 in the musical Brigadoon. Watch Taylor’s performance below:
