Lettuce shared the official music video for their single “Checker Wrecker” featuring Washington D.C. go-go legends Big Tony Fisher of Trouble Funk and Tyrone “Jungle Boogie” Williams of Rare Essence. The track appears on Lettuce’s forthcoming studio album, Resonate.

Round Hill Records will release Resonate, Lettuce’s seventh studio album, on May 8. The new album was recorded at Colorado Sound Studio with producer and engineer Russ Elevado during the same sessions that yielded the group’s 2019 album, Elevate

“We all grew up bumpin late-’80s hip-hop and didn’t realize until later that we were listening to samples of go-go bands like Trouble Funk and Rare Essence,” drummer Adam Deitch stated. “To get Big Tony Fisher and Tyrone ‘Jungle Boogie’ Williams in the video is epic for us. They are the originators of the go-go sound and the vibe they bring is electric! This particular show in DC was absolutely wild and the crowd was on fire! We are so happy to have captured this experience in one video!”

Go-go was recently declared the official style of music of Washington D.C. Watch Lettuce’s “Checker Wrecker” official music video below:
