Perpetual Groove Details ‘Live From Georgia Theatre 2015’ Rebroadcasts

107

Perpetual Groove announced livestream replays of their 2015 Georgia Theatre concerts in Athens as part of their Social Distancing Tour. Consume Media and Perpetual Groove are teaming up to stream the band’s two-day stand at the Georgia Theatre via Facebook Live beginning on Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET with their May 28, 2015 show, which will see the band tuning in to live chat.

The rebroadcasts will also feature footage of the band’s May 29, 2015 show on Saturday, March 21 along with PGroove’s afternoon rooftop acoustic show from May 29 following on Sunday, March 22.

While Perpetual Groove was scheduled to tour the Midwest and West Coast this spring, the band has postponed those dates due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The dates affected span between March 18 and May 27. The band released a statement regarding the postponement and detailing the livestream replays.

Read the quartet’s statement below:

PERPS,

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak all of our dates between now and May 27th are being rescheduled. We are all becoming accustomed to this new reality. The news changes hourly on how we as a society are going to have to commit to flatten the curve. We all must do our part. We’re in this together.

Our team is working diligently to reschedule shows, and we will keep you all posted to those changes as they come to fruition. West Coast, it looks like January 2021 will be our return, as of now. All tickets will be honored at rescheduled shows. All tickets for shows that cannot be rescheduled will be refunded. If you are not able to attend a rescheduled show when that date is announced, then you can request a refund.

We are currently looking into options to bring you music in the safest and most effective way. As you may or may not know, we live all across the country and are not centrally located. We are researching options that may include us being able to play remotely from our homes with each other and let you be able to tune into an audio stream of us playing together right at that very moment. We’ll, of course, keep you updated as we figure out the best way to implement this.

In the meantime, our good friends at Consume Media are helping us stream the two-night run from the Georgia Theatre from 2015 this weekend via Facebook Live! We’ll be streaming the 5.28.15 show at 8pm EST this Friday night with some of us from the band tuning in and chatting with you while we enjoy these epic shows together! Saturday night at the same time we’ll stream the 5.29.15 show and then, finally, this Sunday we’ll stream the acoustic rooftop show from 5.29.15 at 4pm EST.

This is just the beginning of a journey in finding new interactive ways to interact with all of you, we look forward to getting through all of this together.

Stay positive, stay human.

Adam, Albert, Brock, & Matt
