A number of concerts originally supposed to be held at such Colorado venues as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Mission Ballroom and 1st Bank Center through July have been either canceled or postponed due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak pandemic as per Denver’s CBS 4. CBS 4 cites an announcement from concert promotion company AEG Presents, the firm that puts on most shows at those venues and other Colorado hot spots.
Shows held at the Bluebird, Gothic and Ogden theaters are also affected. AEG Presents noted their decision came in the wake of the state’s mandate halting mass gatherings. Specific announcements will follow from acts slated to play the venues as well as the venues’ social feeds and websites.
CBS 4 specifically lists four concerts that have been either canceled or will be rescheduled. Sturgill Simpson’s April 25 show at Pepsi Center will be held on a new date TBD, which also holds true for Brantley Gilbert’s two-night run at Red Rocks that was originally slated for May 8 – 9. Devil Makes Three’s 2020 Red Rocks show — originally announced for May 23 — has been canceled outright.
Refunds for canceled shows will be available at point of purchase. For those who bought tickets via AXS.com refunds will be processed automatically within 30 business days.
