The City of Albany’s Cultural Affairs team along with local partners have launched the Capital Region Covers Challenge! They are searching for musicians all over the area to record and share a video of a cover song with everyone on social media. The media partners (WEQX, WEXT, NYS Music, and Nippertown) have agreed to share the videos on their social media as well. Each musician who submits should challenge an additional three musical friends to join in! Make sure they tag #CapitalCovers
After the postponement of Tulip Festival the City’s Cultural Affairs team felt it was important to still be able to share content for the community to enjoy in their homes, while being able to showcase the amazing talent we have in this region.
We have partnered with WEXT Radio 97.7 & 106.1, Nippertown, WEQX 102.7 and NYS Music to help us grow this challenge. Be sure to follow them and our own pages @AlbanyNYEvents in the weeks to come!
