Dark Star Orchestra announced they have canceled this year’s Dark Star Jubilee festival due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The band also rescheduled most of the dates for their spring tour and will present a livestream marathon on Friday, April 10 featuring replays of multiple full shows and more.

“Plowing forward in an effort to bring the music to your hometown as originally planned, we have successfully rescheduled 21 of 24 shows. We postponed and rescheduled Spring Tour 1 a few weeks ago and now we have done the same for Spring Tour 2,” noted a statement from the band. “Strange days indeed.” Concerts originally slated for May 14 at the Count Basie Center For The Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey and May 18 at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey have been canceled outright. Refunds for the canceled shows will be processed automatically with the policy for rescheduled shows dependent on each venue.

As for the Jubilee, DSO noted most acts on the 2020 lineup have committed to the 2021 installment. “All 2020 Festival Tickets, Kids Tickets, and RV Passes will be honored for 2021 and if you can’t make it, we will process refund requests received by May 22, 2020,” added the band and promoter All Good Presents.

FANS will host a free Dark Star Orchestra livestream marathon tomorrow, Friday, April 10 starting at 9 a.m. ET that can also be viewed via the JamBase Livestreams Calendar. Live interviews will come between broadcasts of Dark Star Orchestra’s May 10, 2013; May 17, 2014; May 30, 2015 and November 2, 2019 performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Additionally, fans are invited to keep tabs on the DSO Soundcloud page each Wednesday for rare archival recordings shared by guitarist Rob Eaton.
