Over the weekend, Global Citizen’s Lady Gaga-curated virtual charity concert One World: Together At Home saw an absolute smorgasbord of stars perform to support the COVID-19 Response Fund for WHO.

The musical lineup in particularly was stacked, featuring the likes of Gaga herself, Taylor Swift, Sir Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Lizzo and many, many more.

If you weren’t able to watch, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite performances from the event for you to enjoy at your leisure.

The Rolling Stones performing ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ via split-screen

Performing separately from their respective homes, The Rolling Stones played their 1969 Let It Bleed classic ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’. Some absolutely killer air drumming courtesy of Charlie Watts.

Stevie Wonder paying tribute to Bill Withers with a cover of ‘Lean On Me’

Wonder performed an impassioned rendition Withers’ classic ‘Lean On Me’, after the soul singer died earlier this month, aged 81, suffering heart complications. “During hardships like this, we have to lean on each other for help,” said Wonder before he began. “My friend, the late Bill Withers, has the perfect song for that, and I want us to remember him tonight.”

Lady Gaga performing Nat King Cole’s ‘Smile’

In addition to curating the lineup for ‘One World: Together At Home’, Lady Gaga also kicked off proceedings with a performance, delivering an incredibly touching solo performance of Nat King Cole’s ‘Smile’.

John Legend and Sam Smith’s ‘Stand By Me’ duet

An absolutely gorgeous collaboration.

Lizzo covering Sam Cooke’s ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’

ACTUAL GOOSEBUMPS. Holy hell.

Delta Goodrem absolutely belting out ‘Together We Are One’

Our Delta! The Aussie singer-songwriter stunned with a performance of her 2006 Commonwealth Games song ‘Together We Are One’, singing and playing piano while backed up on guitar. Goodrem sounds absolutely huge here, with her soaring vocals stealing the show.

Paul McCartney with a heartfelt performance of ‘Lady Madonna’

Sir Paul dusted off The Beatles’ 1968 single for a heartfelt solo rendition on piano, paying tribute to “the true heroes” – healthcare workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic – and urged viewers to call on global leaders to strengthen the healthcare system around the world.

The Killers playing a stripped back electro-pop version of ‘Mr. Brightside’

Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. teamed up to perform a pared down version of their hit ‘Mr. Brightside’, with Flowers on keyboards and Vannucci playing guitar. While maintaining much of the structural songwriting elements of the original, the pair turn the arena-ready rocker into a slice of fairly minimal synth-pop that retains much of what’s special about the song in the first place.

Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Lady Gaga, Lang Lang and John Legend joining forces to perform ‘The Prayer’

An absolutely breathtaking performance of Deline and Bocelli’s 1999 duet, this all-star collaboration closed out the night.

This is not an exhaustive list – the virtual event also saw stunning performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, and many, many more. Head to Global Citizen’s YouTube page to relive the full experience.
