If you missed your chance to bid on Barrett-Jackson’s January auction of 21 rides owned by the Paul Walker, we’ve got good news: the Fast and Furious star’s 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback is up for grabs through Mecum Auctions.

Even without the celebrity provenance, finding a Boss 429 with a factory-original 375-horsepower 7.0-liter V8, Toploader four-speed manual transmission, Raven Black body panels is extremely rare, not to mention that the odometer only shows 14,575 miles.

Mecum reports that this vehicle is serial number KK 1773, the letters being an acronym for the Kar-Kraft company that Ford subcontracted to build all Boss 429 models of the era. The Brighton, Michigan-based outfit also slightly modified the Mustang’s fender lips to accommodate bigger tires, which surround period-correct Black Magnum 500 wheels.

This vehicle’s interior is finished with black vinyl high-back bucket seats, an AM radio and the Deluxe Décor group wood-grain vinyl appliques on the dash and center console. Color-matched exterior mirrors and a wide-open hood scoop serve as nods to the Boss 429’s NASCAR heritage.

Paul Walker’s Boss 429 is set to be sold at Mecum’s Indy 2020 at the Indian State Fair Grounds, which takes place June 23-28. Hagerty estimates a $200,000 value for any example of this model, and Walker’s will certainly fetch more.
