Aqueous Aboard For 2 ‘Live At The Drive’ Drive-In Concerts

127

Aqueous will soon take the “stage” for a pair of concerts with social distancing guidelines in place at a drive-in movie theater near their hometown of Buffalo. The quartet will kick off the “Live At The Drive” series at Lockport’s Transit Drive-In on June 19 and 20 as per the Buffalo News.

The concerts are the first two of a 16-show series put together by Buffalo Iron Works’ Josh Holtzman and Grace Vesneske in the wake of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Aqueous will perform from 2 – 5 p.m. according to Jeff Miers of the Buffalo News. “Live At The Drive” will run through August.

“If the demand is there, we’ll be looking to do more,” Holtzman told Miers. “Expect to see some concert/movie combo nights, with themes incorporated – we’ll have a tribute band perform followed by a movie.” Here’s more from Josh Holtzman about what to expect:

“We all know that for both the fans and artists a drive-in concert is not the preferred choice, but considering everything going on, it’s a fantastic option. Musicians want to perform live and fans want to experience not only the sound but the feeling of a live show. This allows for both to exist in a world where the traditional form of attending a concert is on hold. This is a platform we are working on and hope to bring it to life this summer.”

The Buffalo News article indicates tickets will be available via the Transit Drive-In and Buffalo Iron Works websites. Aqueous follows in the footsteps of Strand Of Oaks and Spafford, who have each played drive-in concerts.
