Dark Star Orchestra shared pro-shot video from a concert that featured guitarist Steve Kimock. The set from The Staircase in Pittston, Pennsylvania on September 4, 2003 comes as part of the Grateful Dead tribute act’s Saturday Sets At 6 archival series.
Dark Star kicked off the set with “Touch Of Grey” ahead of the classics “Feel Like A Stranger” and “Tennesee Jed.” Next, DSO picked up “Passenger” ahead of latter-day Dead tune “So Many Roads.” The band then welcomes Kimock — who would stay on for the rest of the set — for “Me & My Uncle” into “Big River.” The favorite “Althea” came next followed by “Lazy Lightnin’” into “Supplication.” Bob Dylan’s “It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry” prefaced the set closer, “The Music Never Stopped.”
