Joe Russo’s Almost Dead welcomed guitarist John Mayer as their special guest on on November 9, 2018 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. The band shared pro-shot video featuring a sequence of “Here Comes Sunshine” into “They Love Each Other” into “Here Comes Sunshine” from the Dead & Company guitarist’s sit-in as this week’s RAD Tracks selection.
John Mayer’s November 9, 2018 appearance with JRAD marked his third guest spot with the band. He previously sat-in at two Almost Dead concerts held at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. The collaboration at The Wiltern lasted throughout the second set and also included the evening’s encore. Mayer handled lead vocals on “They Love Each Other” in L.A., which was the first time he sang with the quintet. “TLEO” came within “Here Comes Sunshine” towards the middle of the “MayRAD” set.
