Leftover Salmon banjo player Andy Thorn shared a cover of Mac Miller’s “Good News.” Thorn was joined in the video performance by guitarist Thomas LaFond of Banshee Tree.
“Good News” appeared on Miller’s posthumously released 2020 album, Circles. The hip-hop musician was 26 when he died by accidental overdose in September 2018.
“Y’all asked for more Mac Miller covers,” Thorn wrote. “This is one of his sadder songs. Though I guess playing any of his songs is kind of sad.”
