The JamBase Livestreams Calendar is chock full of couch tour options for live music fans today, Thursday, June 25. Among them is Swindler’s performance for the Nectar Virtual Concert Series. The Seattle-based band is usually busy this time of year bringing their hybrid funk, jazz and psych rock sound to such festivals as Summer Meltdown, 4 Peaks and Element. Proceeds from Swindler’s second live performance since the pandemic started will benefit the band, Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County and Nectar operations.
BeachLife Festival kicks off the SpeakEasy Summer Series of livestreams tonight with G. Love, Mondo Cozmo, Matt Costa and The Mother Hips. Elsewhere, Select Sessions prsents the Hug Your Farmer benefit featuring Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Martin Sexton and more while DownStream TV airs Pierce Edens’ 100th straight stream.
There’s a number of livestream replays/archival video broadcasts on tap today. Radiohead airs their July 2, 2016 performance at OpenAir in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Additionally, Summer Camp presents JJ Grey & Mofro’s 2018 set at the festival, Blue Ox shares the Jeff Austin Band’s set at the festival from 2018, the Tedeschi Trucks Band turns over Swamp Family TV to the Derek Trucks Superjam from Bonnaroo 2014 and Railroad Earth completes their month-long Red Rockstropsective series.
On the live front, Widespread Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann continues Shut Up And Play, Nicki Bluhm performs from her home in Nashville, Leslie Mendelson goes live from Brooklyn’s Restoration Sound and an all-star lineup is aboard for Can’t Cancel Pride, a COVID-19 relief benefit for the LGBTQ Community.
