California Roots Announces 2021 Lineup

California Roots Music & Arts Festival announced its 2021 lineup. Ice Cube, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Rebelution, Atmosphere and more are set to headline the 2021 event taking place May 28 – 30 at the Monterey Country Fair And Event Center in Monterey, California.

The festival will also see performances from Jimmy Cliff, Chronixx, Pepper, Trevor Hall, Tribal Seeds, J Boog, The Green, Collie Budz and more. The lineup is “99% intact” after California Roots 2020 had to be postponed until October 2020 and now canceled outright due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Festival co-producer Dan Sheehan issued a statement regarding the cancelation.

As we continue to deal with these unprecedented circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we want to thank our community for being so patient as we navigate the best path forward. This is a difficult announcement to make, but likely not all that surprising. We have decided to reschedule Cali Roots 2020 to May 2021 at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center. This is not what we had hoped for, but a necessary one to ensure the continued safety of our beloved music community. It’s heartbreaking for us to face a year without Cali Roots, but we will be back in 2021.
