Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced that the city had reached a $12M settlement in a civil lawsuit with the estate of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was shot and killed by police in her apartment in March. As part of the settlement, the city also agreed to enact reforms in the police department.
