Goose performed a socially distanced show at South Farms in Morris, Connecticut last night. Thursday’s concert featured a cover of My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James’ solo song “State Of The Art (A.E.I.O.U.).”

Goose, again accompanied by percussionist Jeffrey Arevalo, opened their second straight evening at South Farms with a cover of Wes Montgomery’s “Switchin’” that was followed by “Doc Brown.” The band then covered Van Morrison’s “Wild Night,” trailed by takes on “Elizabeth,” “Rosewood Heart” and “This Old Sea.” The opening set closed with Goose’s first offering of “State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.),” which appeared on James’ 2013 solo album, Regions Of Light And Sound And God.

After setbreak, Goose kicked off the second set with “Indian River” that segued into a cover of Talking Heads’ “Crosseyed & Painless.” Next came “Lead The Way” which led into “So Ready.” The band selected “Arrow” for the second set closer. They returned to the stage for an encore consisting of “Arcadia.”
