It appears a new Ozzy Osbourne album is in the works. It follows up his previous solo album which was released back in February this year.
The Black Sabbath frontman revealed the news in an interview with radio.com.
“I’m doing another record right now. I just started to work with Andrew [Watt] again. It’s what gets me up in the morning, and it’s what I’m here to do,” said Ozzy Osbourne.
“It saved my life, doing that last album. [It’s better than] sitting on my ass all day waiting for the fucking pandemic to be over. And then you go, ‘Oh, yeah, I am a rock and roller. I’d better do an album.’ You’ve got all the fucking time in the world to make the best album possible.”
The news coincides with the 40th anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne’s debut solo album, which he has a bunch of special things lined up for.
Osbourne recently said a Black Sabbath reunion wouldn’t be on the cards. He told Rolling Stone, “Not for me. It’s done.”
On retirement, Ozzy said, “Retire from what? It’s not a job.”
“How can you retire from a rock band? It’s like saying, don’t plug in your amp. I don’t know anything else. I’ll retire when they put the fucking nail in the lid.”
The new Ozzy album will follow up Ordinary Man, released back in February this year. Listen to the title track, which features Elton John below.
