Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Trey Anastasio and more will appear on the The Capitol Theatre’s 8th anniversary livestream celebration featuring archival and live performances. Fueled by Lagunitas Brewing Company with support from KEEN, the celebration will air on Saturday, September 12 at 1 p.m ET/10 p.m. PT via FANS and the JamBase Livetsreams Calendar.
The Cap anniversary livestream will also include performances from Robert Plant & The Sensational Shapeshifters, David Crosby & The Lighthouse Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Billy Strings, Deep Banana Blackout, Foreigner, Galactic, God Street Wine, Hot Tuna, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Lake Street Dive, Mac DeMarco, moe., My Morning Jacket, O.A.R., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Portugal. The Man, Taj Mahal Trio, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Black Crowes, The Marcus King Band, The Revivalists, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic and more. Additionally, the celebration will feature special appearances by Warren Haynes, Brendan Bayliss of Umphrey’s McGee, Grateful Dead historian Gary Lambert and many more.
While the livestream is free, donations during the event will aid the temporarily shuttered Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York with a portion of proceeds also benefitting the National Independent Venue Association. A fundraising raffle is also underway which benefits The Cap and will give a lucky winner the complete VIP experience when the venue reopens including “a VIP Presidential Booth on the venue’s first night back, a tour with owner Peter Shapiro” and more. Furthermore, Conscious Alliance is leading a virtual Art That Feeds food drive where fans can pick up a Pete Schaw limited-edition poster with proceeds going to families in need.
