You Can Go ‘Home Again’: Watch The Disco Biscuits Performing ‘Home Again’ Live

73

In June, the Disco Biscuits played a special hometown concert on the infield at an empty Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The livestream event dubbed Take You Out To The Ball Game was organized by Live Nation and the Philadelphia Phillies and raised over $75,000 for the PLUS1 For Black Lives Fund.

“We have been sidelined for three months and it felt so good to play together as a band again,” bassist Marc Brownstein said after the show. “I have been to this ballpark so many times and it took me a while to realize no one was going to be here but us. It was a lot of fun and we can’t wait to do it for real in front of a live audience when we can all be together again.”

Bisco fans will soon get the chance to see the band play in front of a live audience when they host four socially distanced drive-in concerts in mid-October on Cape Cod. While the drive-in experience is not exactly the same as pre-COVID-19 concerts, attendees are likely to feel home again when the lights drop and the music starts.

Back in June at Citizens Bank Park, the Disco Biscuits kicked off their set with their classic original “Home Again.” The anthem to the City Of Brotherly Love was a fitting selection for Bisco’s first gig in three months. There are over 15 live videos of “Home Again” performed by the Disco Biscuits available to view in the JamBase Live Video Archive (LBLVA).

Using the LBLVA as a guide, below are five live Bisco performances of “Home Again” that all happen to come from the band’s appearances at five different festivals.

July 3, 2008 | Rothbury Music Festival

Up first is a video from the short-lived Rothbury Music Festival that was held in 2008 and again in 2009 at Double JJ Resort in Rothbury, Michigan. While it only lasted two turns, Electric Forest quickly filled the void left after Rothbury was retired. This video comes from the Disco Biscuits set at the inaugural Rothbury Music Festival on July 3, 2008.

July 13, 2017 | Camp Bisco

A list of the Disco Biscuits festival performances would not be complete without an entry from one of the band’s Camp Bisco events. Like most other music festivals in 2020, there will not be a Camp Bisco held this year at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The video above is from the 2017 edition of Camp Bisco, during the host’s opening night headlining set. The almost completely continuous set had only one pause, and that was prior to the closing run through “Home Again.”
