On Election Night, Tuesday, November 3rd, more than 600 artists will take part in the virtual #iVoted Festival. The multi-stage event, powered by livestream platform Mandolin, will require fans to RSVP by posting a selfie of them voting, whether at home with their blank, unmarked mail-in ballot or with a photo from outside their polling place. Younger fans who are not yet eligible to vote can RSVP with a short video letting the #iVoted team what election they’ll be 18 for and why they’re excited to vote. Non-U.S. citizens and ineligible voters and RSVP with a video about which artists they’re most excited to check out during the #iVoted Festival festivities. For more information and a full list of participating artists, head to the event website here.

HeadCount will help host the event with its own virtual #iVoted Festival stage on November 3rd in celebration of the nonprofit voter registration organization’s record-breaking numbers this year, during which it surpassed 1 million voters registered in its history. The HeadCount stage will feature performances and appearances of varying lengths by Trey Anastasio, Jim James (of My Morning Jacket), Fantastic Negrito, Umphrey’s McGee, The Disco Biscuits, Taking Back Sunday, Dreamers, Citizen Cope, Saves The Day, Demo Taped, Geographer, Jesse Ruben, Hollis Brown, a conversation with Julien Baker and Rhea Butcher, exclusive video messages from Billie Eilish and MGMT, and a special me#iVotssage from Newport Festivals Foundation.

The HeadCount stage lineup will lead up to a special Everyone Orchestra “Soundtrack to History” set, an improvised performance that serves as a musical accompaniment—or alternative—to watching the election returns as they unfold. The “Soundtrack to History” concept was first staged in person at Brooklyn Bowl on Election Night 2016 and will be streamed from Portland, OR this year with a Matt Butler-conducted lineup featuring Andrew Borger (Pink Martini), JP Downer (Portland Cello Project), Sarah Clarke (Dirty Revival), Asher Fulero (Emancipator Ensemble), Nick Werth, Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and more, the two-set performance will begin just before 9pm ET, when polls close in several major states. It will be followed by a late-night dance party with DJ Logic.

The #iVoted initiative was founded by longtime entrepreneur Emily White along with Mike Luba and Wilco’s Pat Sansone. #iVoted also recently announced Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman as its most recent board member. With more talent joining the movement daily, #iVoted’s Election Night concert series will be not only the biggest music and talent “festival” of the year but is on track to become the largest single-night digital concert in history.
