The National frontman Matt Berninger appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Thursday. Berninger performed “One More Second” from his recently released solo debut, Serpentine Prison.
Serpentine Prison arrived on October 16 and “One More Second” received the music video treatment ahead of the release. Berninger’s performance of the song for Colbert featured a similar visual aesthetic as the video along with a backing band consisting of vocalist Julia Davies Laws, bassist Matthew Thomas Sheehy, guitarists Sean Patrick O’Brien and Harrison Russell Whitford, keyboardist Philip William Krohnengold and Sterling Mitchell Laws on drums.
