Old Crow Medicine Show left their home state of Tennessee this week for a drive-in performance at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA. The 26-song performance saw the sextet run through a variety of originals and covers, including a geographically-relevant take on OutKast‘s “Hey Ya!”

Old Crow began the show with a traditional cover of “Tell It To Me” before a string of originals ensued. “Alabama High Test”, “Child of the Mississippi”, “8 Dogs, 8 Banjos”, “Brave Boys”, “Down Home Girl”, “Sweet Amarillo”, “Crazy Eyes”, “Brushy Mountain Conjugal Trailer”, “Been All Around This World”, and “I Done Wrong Blues” led to a couple more traditional covers, “Tear It Down” and “Raise A Ruckus”.

The original “Lovesick Blues” fell into the second half of the one-set performance, which came before a cover of ‘Ma’ Rainey & Her Georgia Jazz Band‘s “See See Rider”. “Methamphetamine” then set up one of the band’s newest tunes, lockdown single “Quarantined”, followed by “Caroline” and “I Hear Them All/ This Land Is Your Land”.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young cover, “Helpless”, kept the drive-in performance moving for Old Crow, before traditional covers of “Cocaine Habit” and “Hard To Love” brought the show to its final portion. “Take ‘Em Away” set up one of the nights highlights, a cover of local heroes OutKast‘s “Hey Ya!”, which featured drummer Jerry Pentecost on vocals.

Old Crow then wrapped the evening with “Wagon Wheel”, which frontman Ketch Secor and Bob Dylan co-wrote over a 25-year period. Scroll down for a gallery of images, courtesy of photographer Emily Butler, and check out a complete setlist of the performance below.

After a week off, Old Crow will hit Ketch Secor’s Folk City in Nashville, TN for a performance on November 5th, followed by another at the same venue on December 3rd. The band also has a New Years Eve performance scheduled for the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, as well as a variety of shows throughout 2021.
