Tank and the Bangas announced a new EP, Friend Goals, set for release on November 20 via Verve Forecast. The band also shared the EP’s lead single, “Self Care.”
Tank And The Bangas recorded a majority of Friend Goals during quarantine at friends’ studios in New Orleans and Chicago along with the home of The Bangas’ alto saxophonist and flautist Albert Allenback. The record also sees guest appearances from CHIKA, Duckwrth, PJ Morton and more.
Additionally, the EP’s lead single, “Self Care,” sees vocal contributions from Jaime Woods, Orleans Big and Anjelika ‘Jelly’ Joseph. Frontwoman Tarriona ‘Tank’ Ball spoke about the song in a statement:
“‘Self Care’ is THE quarantine song to get you moving! It shows that some of the best things can come out from solitude, especially when the beat hits this hard.”
