The Disco Biscuits concluded their two-night run at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday. The Philadelphia-based band offered up covers from Donna Summer, Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd.
The show got underway with “Hope” ahead of the relatively new tune “Electic Slinky,” which tDB debuted on their fall tour last year. “Reactor” came next and the band got into some jamming before heading into “Champions.” The Biscuits then worked their way into the first cover of the night, Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love.” tDB debuted the song three years prior at the same location, Montage Mountain, during their 2017 Camp Bisco festival. A return to “Reactor” would bring the first frame to close.
The second set kicked off with some vintage material in “Plan B.” The song has become something of a rarity of late and saw a three-year drought between 2015 and 2018, as per Phantasy Tour. The second and third covers of the night came in the form of Frank Zappa’s “Pygmy Twylyte” and Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell.” Both songs are classic tDB covers having been debuted in the early days of the band. New song “Running Into The Night,” unveiled during the band’s New Year’s run last year, followed and then segued into more vintage material in “Mr. Don.” A reprise of “Run Like Hell” came next before “Home Again” brought the evening to a close.
