Dispatch released a new single, “As Old As I.” The track comes as part of Phase 2 in the rollout of their eighth studio album set for release in 2021.
Dispatch released Phase 1 of the new LP in October which included three songs: “May We All,” “All This Time” and “One By One.” The new single, “As Old As I,” draws its subject matter from some of the dark elements of 2020 like political unrest, violence and climate change but ultimately offers a glimmer of hope.
“Whether it’s our wife or our children or anyone who’s younger than us that’s in our family, Dispatch’s Chadwick Stokes told WBUR, “there’s kind of this unspoken promise that we’re there to help them live longer than we [do].”
