Matt Sweeney & Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy Share New Single ‘Make Worry For Me’

84

Matt Sweeney and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy (Will Oldham) released a new single entitled “Make Worry For Me” via Drag City & Palace Records. The pair had previously collaborated for the Superwolf album in 2005 and on “You’ll Get Eaten, Too,” a charity single unveiled earlier this year.

Sweeney, best known for his time in Chavez and Zwan, composed the music for the new track. Matt also provided vocal harmonies, electric and bass guitars to the recording. Oldham wrote the lyrics and sings “Make Worry For Me,” which features Pete Townsend on drums and Mike Rojas on keys.

Read a description of “Make Worry For Me” from a press release:

This is no miscount – this is the bestial duo, the two headed dawg, the Superwolves: Matt Sweeney and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, talking directly to our face. They know no fear, only curiosity. “Make Worry For Me” is manifesto, and we can only hope to learn from it. To grow from it. For limbs to extend, beneath its blue, electric sky. To become Super, like the Superwolves.

The gauntlet is thrown. You’re dancing with the wolf again. Brooding and grooving upon their prey. Succumb to their ritual. Move your ass. Sing their song. Fight. Or die.
