Phish will bring back their Dinner And A Movie live archival video series for a broadcast of the band’s November 22, 1997 concert at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia. The special edition of Dinner And A Movie premieres at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT this Saturday, November 28 on the JamBase Livestreams Calendar via LivePhish.com.
The quartet’s November 22, 1997 performance features Phish at their best and was the second night of an incredible run that took place at “The Mothership” smack dab in the middle of Fall Tour 1997. For those who don’t mind spoilers, read Aaron Stein’s remembrance of a historic night in Phish history.
Phish teamed up with Nashville-based chef Ryan Poli to provide the recipes for the “Dinner” part of Dinner And A Movie. Poli provided instructions on how to make Butternut Squash Soup, Brussels Sprouts Salad and Sticky Toffee Pudding With Spiced Caramel Sauace.
Donations received during the weekend will go towards The Food Empowerment Program (F.E.P.). The organization, “encourages healthy food choices that reflect a more compassionate society by spotlighting the abuse of animals on farms, the depletion of natural resources, unfair working conditions for produce workers, and the unavailability of healthy foods in low-income areas.” Head to Phish.com/waterwheel to donate to F.E.P.
