Performing as part of this weekend’s Adult Swim Festival, Thundercat invited Ariana Grande on stage to deliver ‘Them Changes’ together.

Taken from his 2015 EP The Beyond / Where the Giants Roam, ‘Them Changes’ was then covered by Ariana Grande in 2018.

At the time, Grande said the song was her, “favourite song of the past year and a half.”

In a statement, Thundercat said, “It feels like Ariana and I are forever connected through Mac [Miller], and this is part of the healing process.”

The contemporary funk and RnB artist was up for the first day of the two day livestream festival. Joining him on the event’s lineup was Kaytranada, Mastodon, Rico Nasty, and loads more.

He released his fifth studio album It Is What It Is back in April.
