Happy holidays from all of us at JamBase! While 2020 presented unprecedented challenges for musicians and the supporting industry, there is hope for a better 2021 in which we’ll once again be able to safely Go See Live Music and experience the joy that it brings.
This year also saw several musicians release holiday-themed albums, EPs and singles. A curated collection of 2020 holiday music makes up the Spotify Playlist in this edition of Saturday Stream.
The playlist features holiday albums by Andrew Bird, The Infamous Stringdusters (plus their bonus Hanukkah covers), Dolly Parton (with Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus & others), (with Feist and Jarvis Cocker), Chance The Rapper & Jeremih, Calexico (with Bombino, Gaby Moreno & others) and Tommy Emmanuel. There are also EPs by The Bird and the Bee (with Dave Grohl on “Little Drummer Boy”), Nicki Bluhm and Tori Amos, and two-sided singles by Sharon Van Etten, Maggie Rose, John Oates, Mandy Moore, Sierra Ferrell, Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets and Josh Rouse.
