Lukas Nelson & Promise of The Real shared a cover of JJ Cale’s “Magnolia.” The clip comes as part of POTR’s Soundcheck Songs video series.
“Magnolia” follows previous Soundcheck Songs videos for Neil Young’s “Like An Inca” and Dire Straits’ “Romeo And Juliet.” “Magnolia” appears on Cale’s 1972 debut album, Naturally. The Soundcheck Songs performance of the Cale tune sees Lukas Nelson & POTR staying pretty true to the ‘70s slow burner.
