30 Musicians Perform Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” In Remote, Virtual Cover Video [Watch]

96

30 musicians from around the world joined forces recently for a remote, virtual cover of the Beach Boys‘ 1966 surf-rock anthem, “Good Vibrations”.

The Social Distance Sessions YouTube channel posted a video of the performance, which features over two-dozen musicians who individually contributed their respective parts for the virtual cover on guitars, flutes, organs, violins, upright bas and, of course, that recognizable Theremin heard during the chorus. The impressive 30-part audio/video performance was organized by Matthew Philip Smith and Doc Crotzer, and edited by Chase Johnson. The video even received a shoutout on Twitter from Brian Wilson who praised their creative efforts.

The Social Distance Sessions have previously uploaded remote/virtual covers of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Born to Run” and Tom Petty‘s “Free Fallin’”. Watch the virtual cover in full below.
