John Mayer Plays Solo Acoustic Set For NAMM Edition Of Martin Guitar’s ‘Jam In Place’ Series

84

John Mayer delivered a solo acoustic set for the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) edition of Martin Guitar’s Jam In Place series on Friday. The singer-songwriter and guitarist performed songs from his albums Continuum, Paradise Valley and Battle Studies.

Mayer’s livestream set came as part of NAMM’s virtual Beleive In Music Week event which began on January 18 in lieu of the organization’s usual tradeshow. Additional performers for Jam In Place included Del McCoury, Jason Isbell, Devon Gilfillian and more.

Mayer kicked off his set with “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” off 2006’s Continuum followed by “Dear Marie” from his 2013 LP, Paradise Valley. Mayer concluded the stream with a pair of tunes, “Who Says” and “Edge Of Desire,” from his 2009 album, Battle Studies.
